If you are a member of an institution which partners with VLUME, you can get free unlimited access to our library. We made it very easy for you to link your VLUME account into an institution.
Sign up / Sign in #
To link your VLUME account into an institution, first you need to have a VLUME account. If you don’t have an account, follow the steps listed on the Sign Up help page.
Link Account via Email/Passcode #
Please follow these steps if you are provided an Email and Passcode by your admin or supervisor.
- Sign-in into your account
- Visit the membership page https://web.vlume.com/membership
- Find your institution listed under the “Linked Accounts”
- Press on “Link”
- Type-in your institution Email and Passcode as provided to you by the admin
You should get a confirmation message and see the Linked institution.
Link Account via Activation Links #
Please follow these steps if you are provided an Activation Link by your admin or supervisor. Activation links look like this: https://web.vlume.com/membership/account/link/unique-key
- Click on the activation link to be opened in a browser
- If you’ve not signed-in yet, please sign-in
You should get a confirmation message and see the Linked institution.
Link Account via Library Card #
If you’re a member of a library with access to VLUME, you’ll be able to link your VLUME account to the library using your card information.
- Sign-in into your account
- Visit the membership page https://web.vlume.com/membership
- Find your institution listed under the “Linked Accounts”
- Press on “Link”
- Type-in your Library Card numbers
- Type-in your ping number

Please note #
Each activation Email/Passcode can be used with a single VLUME account. If for any reason you have two separate accounts (i.e. Facebook and Email) please remember which account you’ve linked into the institution. To Re-use the same Email/Passcode with another VLUME account, unlink the institution first.
Institutions subscribe to a number of available seats. If there are no seats available at the time you link your account, you’ll be notified and we’ll re-attempt reserving a seat once it becomes available. Reserved seats rotate after they are not used for a period of time agreed upon with your institution.
